The Pop-Up System Explained
A pop-up display structure uses a concertina-fold aluminum tube scissor frame that expands from a compact folded unit to a full-width display wall in a single accordion-extension motion. The expanded frame creates a rigid curved or straight wall structure that fabric graphic panels attach to via magnetic strip or velcro fastening system.
The complete display — frame + graphics — typically assembles in 10–15 minutes by one person. Pack-down is equally fast: unclip the graphics, fold the frame into its concertina collapsed state, pack both into the wheeled carry case. The entire display system transports in a single suitcase-format case.
Common sizes range from 3m wide × 2.3m high for standard trade show booth backdrops to 6m wide configurations for larger exhibition installations. System Components and Features
Concertina Scissor Frame
The frame uses crossed aluminum tubes connected at their midpoints by pivot joints — expanding from collapsed to fully extended like a scissor lift. The extended frame locks at maximum width automatically and holds its shape rigidly without any locking mechanism or additional support required.
Dye-Sublimation Fabric Panels
The graphic panels are printed using dye-sublimation onto lightweight polyester fabric, producing vibrant, seamless full-color output across the entire display width. Fabric panels are typically applied using magnetic attachment to metal nodes on the frame, or velcro strips for tool-free attachment and removal.
Multiple Size Configurations
Standard frame sizes: 3m, 4m, 5m, and 6m wide. Curved (concave) and straight frame profiles available — curved frames create a gentle arc that encloses the booth space, straight frames work best for flat wall installations and photography backdrop applications. Height typically 2.3m for standard indoor ceiling clearance.
Wheeled Carry Case Included
Frame and graphic panels pack into a hard-shell or padded wheeled carry case sized for airline checked baggage or standard van transport. The display system is completely self-contained — one person, one case, no additional equipment required for setup or transport to event venues.
